Alpha is an informal, relaxed and friendly way to explore the big questions of life. Over the last 20 years, 2.5 million people in the UK, and a further 13 million around the world, have taken part in Alpha.
Alpha usually takes place over 11 evenings. Each evening involves sharing some food together, followed by a talk that explores the basics of the Christian faith and discussion in small groups.
Alpha is for everyone, whatever you do or don’t believe – there’s no pressure to say anything or believe anything, just an opportunity to talk about the big questions of life that we all have: “Why are we here?, “Why do people suffer?”, “Is there more to life than this?”, “Does God exist?” There are no questions that you can’t ask and no-one will try to tell you what to think.
Millions of people have made great friendships on Alpha while exploring the things that matter most. Alpha is completely free and everyone is welcome. If you’re not sure, you are welcome to come along and try out the first evening.
