Middle church caters for young people above the age of 9, who meet on a Sunday morning during the main service in the upper room in the church hall, except on the first Sunday of the month when they join the rest of the congregation for the family service.
A typical session includes games, Bible readings with activities to help the children understand what the Bible has to say to them, prayer times and memory verses.
We hold regular social events to help deepen friendships within the group and meet up with other church groups across the local area and the Diocese.
At St. Devenick’s, we believe not only in learning about God’s word but also living out our faith. We encourage the young people to reach out to care for others. We participated in Operation Christmas Child, packing shoeboxes with gifts for children who have very little. We also raised money for a Toilet twinning project through a sponsored cycle. Occasionally we visit a local care home and share some time with the residents there.
It is our hope and prayer that our young people come to meet God personally. They are a precious and important part of our church family.
